A day in mommy’s closet:

One day my best friend and her daughter came to visit. As soon as I whipped out my camera, this little girl went to work!

Four-year-old Ti’Auna began posing like she was familiar with the process. Each time I positioned the camera at a different angle, she flaunted new poses. Unless Ti’Auna has a secret life, separate from the one Tiara has given her, she’s never modeled. But apparently Ti’Auna spends a lot of time in mirrors and could have tuned in to a few episodes of America’s Next Top Model.

This “photo shoot” was unplanned, so I let Ti’Auna run the show. The poses, the make up, everything was her. But while I had the opportunity, I tried to capture the essence behind playing dress up.

Dress up can be fun at any age (I still play); but it’s most fun when you can break all the rules, wear heels and tap into mommy’s MAC.
