Lil Kim: surprise party at Santo (7/13)
The birthday girl made a grand entrance through a backdoor, wearing a hot pink dress, gold accessories and a kick ahhh pair of stilettos.
To her surprise, the Queen B was greeted by good friend, Evelyn Lozada; saying she came to support Kim because “she’s a f*^#@! factor”. The “two baddd b%^@*&!” embraced and seemed to somehow catch up, even among all the loud music.
Kim also shared words with former NBA star Dennis Rodman.
Singer and songwriter Lyriq Tye, Guyana of B Major, Benzino and others paid tribute to the queen.

Shooting the red carpet for Lil Kim’s birthday celebration at Santo in Gulfstream was pretty cool. But it was also a major responsibility. In addition to the hype surrounding the red carpet, I had to capture key shots.
Basketball Wives’ Evelyn Lozada was nice enough to pose on the carpet, as she strutted a classy custom made sea green romper. And Benzino was sharp in a shimmering gray tailored suit. Former NBA player, Dennis Rodman thought he would ease past me (until my boss caught him), making quite the fashion statement, wearing.. . well, you’ll see!

One of the most challenging parts about my internship is balancing school and work.
I left Lil Kim’s party early because I have to handle a few things. So I missed out on meeting the Queen B and Floyd Mayweather (they snuck in through the backdoor). But I caught up with Basketball Wives’ Evelyn Lozada and Benzino on the red carpet, and I saw the special tribute. (see the next post)

Since my last ‘heart to heart’ entry, the pace has really picked up. I went from being the “bag girl” (lol) in January to shooting the red carpet for Lil Kim’s birthday celebration at Santo.
And I’m still enrolled so I commute. Working in the industry is quite a task! Now, I somewhat understand why celebrities are particular about their special requests. One may require a certain candy in their hotel room upon arrival and another might only drink a particular water (it gets extreme). But when you constantly travel and have demanding schedules, the last thing you need is something that doesn’t fit your taste. Sometimes, you deserve to spoil yourself and I guess that’s their way.
All I need is food, my bed and a little quiet time.. occasionally a foot massage:)
This life is fast.
